KANSAS ODP (Olympic Development Program) and Paola Soccer Club

 The Olympic Development Program is designed to identify and advance talented and passionate youth players throughout the state.  ODP is one way to assist in elite player identification and development.  It is a program for players who are actively working toward furthering their soccer play.  It can be very beneficial to players from rural Kansas, like Paola, as it exposes players to higher level of coaching, skill training, tactics and techniques, play and contact with premier and elite teams and colleges and universities.

 The most important skill work of an ODP level player is the ability to control the ball and be comfortable with it in possession.  ODP players are evaluated on their:  technique, tactical knowledge, athletic ability/fitness, and attitude/willingness to learn and work.
